Schwenksville, PA (October 15, 2016) – Pennypacker Mills hosts the annual All Hallow’s Eve Fall Festival on Saturday, October 15, 2016 from 1:00 to 4:00pm. This event is a fall tradition for many area families to enjoy tractor-pulled hayrides, pumpkin painting, crafts for kids, bean bag toss and jumping in a hay pile. Children can take turns shredding apples and pressing them to make apple cider using our cider press as well as shucking dried corn as farmers did one-hundred years ago to feed their farm animals. Refreshments and candy corn will be offered during the event.
The Museum Shop will be open on the mansion porch. Stocked with souvenirs, books, children’s toys, candy and more, it offers something for everyone. The Pennypacker mansion will be closed during this event. Please plan to visit on another day for a guided tour.
Please note that the Route 73 Bridge over the Perkiomen Creek near the site entrance is closed. There is a short detour to reach the site; follow the signs.
Pennypacker Mills is open year-round for guided tours, seasonal events, educational programs, and changing exhibits. The site is operated by the Montgomery County Division of Parks, Trails, and Historic Sites, and is located at 5 Haldeman Road in Schwenksville, PA.
