Ambler Savings Bank Breaks Ground on New, Modern Headquarters, Branch

AMBLER — Ambler Savings Bank held their groundbreaking ceremony on March 26 at 11 am at the site of their new headquarters and main office in Ambler, PA. The new building will be located at the same site where their previous headquarters and main office stood for 52 years.
The new building will house a modern bank branch, connected to lenders, support staff and senior management. But, most importantly, the space will allow Ambler Savings Bank to grow and continue to serve customers as an independent, mutual financial institution, headquartered in Ambler, for many years to come.
The building project is a reflection on Ambler Savings Bank’s growth over the bank’s more than 140 years. The bank moved from a storefront office in downtown Ambler to a brand new building at 155 E Butler Avenue in 1962. However, the bank continued to grow, and over 52 years, expanded useable office space in the building, bought a second building to house the loan department, and, eventually, the outgrew the space.
This new 28,000 sq. ft. building, will feature two drive thru lanes, a drive up and walk up ATMs; and ecologically friendly features, such as a green roof and low energy consuming features. We will also offer safe deposit boxes for the first time in our Ambler facility.
The building will also feature a community room for civic organizations to meet, and will house a gallery of historic Ambler photos.
The building is expected to be completed in the first quarter of 2016.
