Since 2011, Allied Wire & Cable has provided a college scholarship for the children of its employees. For the employee’s child to be considered for the scholarship, there is some criteria that must be met: must be an Allied employee for at least three years, the employee’s child must have at least a 3.0 GPA, and submit an essay with their application.
Allied Wire and Cable is happy to announce that there are two recipients of the scholarship for 2017. The first recipient is Lea Feldman, daughter of employee Larry Feldman. Lea will be attending Cedar Crest College to study Forensic Psychology and Biology. The second recipient is Mike Gantert, son of long time employee, Holly Gantert. This is the second year that Mike has received the scholarship and will be attending Millersville University for Marketing. He is Holly’s second child to receive the scholarship. Allied is a family-owned and operated business, it enjoys celebrating family values by giving back to its employees. The company wishes Lea and Mike the best of luck in their college careers.
