Holy Cross Spring Musical

On May 18th and 19th, Holy Cross held a fantastic Spring Musical featuring the progression of music through the decades.
The entire Holy Cross upper class entered the gymnasium and “celebrated” their musical talents dancing together to Celebration as a perfectly choreographed group.  Each grade then had an opportunity to show off their singing and dancing talents based on the decade they represented.
Boys in white tees, and girls in hoop skirts, the 7th grade gathered on stage performed songs from the 60’s, including the Jail House Rock, Twist and Shot and These Boots are Made for Walking.  The 5th grade students debuted their talents, and sense of tie-dyed fashion,  to songs from the 70’s including a crowd favorite, Shake Your Booty.  The 6th grade brought the audience back to the 80’s dressed in full neon with songs from movies such as Ghostbusters and Rocky.  The musical journey ended the flannels, baseball caps and the graduating 8th grade class showcasing their talents, including line dancing and rapping, to songs from the 90s.
The audience roared and could be seen moving to the groove, as they enjoyed watching their upperclassman dance to the music of some of their favorite decades.
