Schwenksville, PA (January 6, 2016) – Make a gift from the heart this year at Pennypacker Mills’ Valentines Workshop for Kids. Create a Valentine gift that includes a personal card, a candy cup with sweets, a picture frame, and a special Valentine craft to place over a doorway. The fun will take place on Saturday, February 6, 2016 from 10:00am to 12:00pm in the Classroom Building. All materials are supplied.
This is a great workshop for scouts, a group of friends, or a special day with grandma. Spend a winter morning at the Mills creating unique Victorian-inspired Valentines just in time for Valentine’s Day. Refreshments will be provided.
This workshop is designed for kids age five and older, accompanied by an adult. The fee is $5.00 per child, by preregistration and prepayment only. Please call 610-287-9349 to register.
Pennypacker Mills was the home of Pennsylvania Governor Samuel Pennypacker. With 170 acres of bucolic farmland surrounding the colonial revival mansion, the historic site houses an extensive collection of original historical and genealogical artifacts, official documents from Pennypacker’s term in office (1903-1907), completely furnished rooms, and changing exhibits. Open year-round for guided tours, educational programs, and seasonal events, this historic site interprets the life and times of Samuel Pennypacker and his family.
Pennypacker Mills is operated by the County of Montgomery. The site is located at 5 Haldeman Road in Schwenksville, PA. Pennypacker Mills is open Tuesday through Saturday from 10:00am to 4:00pm and Sunday from 1:00pm to 4:00pm. The site is closed Mondays and major holidays.
