Random Acts of Kindness (RAK) Week

Schwenksville Elementary School celebrated Random Acts of Kindness (RAK) Week February 9-13, 2015.  After watching a short video, the students were asked:
*How can you show kindness to others?  What are specific ways that you could spread kindness?
*What could happen if we all worked harder to show kindness to one another?  How might we change our school, community, and world?
Random Acts of Kindness School Recognition:
Each day during RAK Week, staff members caught students displaying random acts of kindness.  Staff members wrote the first name of the student, the student’s grade/teacher, and a brief description of the kind act on a paper heart.  Student names were randomly called each day for special recognition.  The paper hearts are displayed on the tree mural in the main lobby.  In this way, kindness has colored the tree and caused it to bloom!
