Adaptation of Famous Washington Irving Play at Pennypacker Mills

Schwenksville, PA – What better way to get into the All Hallows Eve spirit than a performance of the renowned play by Washington Irving, “The Legend of Sleepy Hollow.” On Saturday, October 29th at 3 pm come to Pennypacker Mills to enjoy a FREE afternoon performance by actor Neill Hartley as he portrays Ichabod Crane. See Ichabod lead the audience in song and dancing with his love. Then, follow him on his fateful journey home as he meets the Headless Horseman!

Neill Hartley is a well-known actor of numerous television shows, regional theater performances and movies who will share his creative talents in this inspiring performance that is sure to captivate all ages. Please bring a chair or blanket to sit on.

Please note that the Route 73 Bridge over the Perkiomen Creek near the site entrance is closed. There is a short detour to reach the site; follow the signs.

Pennypacker Mills is open year-round for guided tours, seasonal events, educational programs, and changing exhibits.

The site is operated by the Montgomery County Division of Parks, Trails, and Historic Sites, and is located at 5 Haldeman Road in Schwenksville, PA.
